Sam Coomes shares weird video for Stride On

Sam Coomes has shared a super weird, self-directed video for Stride On, the opening song of his debut solo album Bugger Me, available now via Domino.

The album is “dedicated to the USA in 2017”, according to Coomes, who is, of course, one-half of Quasi - the other half being Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss.

Coomes has released nine albums over the last two decades and toured all over the world.

Recorded using only his organ and ‘Conny’ – a mid-‘60s non-programmable rhythm box, Coomes describes the lo-fi Bugger Me as "Suicide meets The Beach Boys".

Coomes will play a string of headline UK dates before he joins Black Heart Procession on tour in Europe. The dates include a special Domino Presents show at London’s The Windmill on March 11th where he will be joined by Fish and The Sweat.
